SHORT DESCRIPTION: Changes to Non-Opt-In Entity (NOIE) unregistered DG reporting requirements

LONG DESCRIPTION: The changes to the Unregistered DG Installed Capacity Quarterly Report (EMIL ID NP16-533-M, Report ID 13544) implemented in Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 891, Removal of NOIE Capacity Reporting Threshold for the Unregistered Distributed Generation Report, will take effect beginning with the 2019 third quarter report. In addition to reporting capacity for unregistered DG sites with capacity greater than 50 kW, NOIEs are required to report capacity for sites with capacity less than 50 kW on a quarterly basis if the aggregate capacity of such sites exceeds 2 MW. All other NOIEs should continue to report capacity for unregistered DG sites with capacity greater than 50 kW on a quarterly basis, and additionally should report the aggregate capacity of all unregistered DG sites by March 1 of each year for the preceding calendar year.
The new NOIE Unregistered DG Reporting Form is attached. The form includes detailed reporting instructions and a copy of the relevant Protocols sections. The form, along with the Unregistered DG Installed Capacity Quarterly Report itself, can be found on the Distributed Generation page on the ERCOT website.
ACTION REQUIRED: NOIEs should submit their unregistered DG data for the third quarter of 2019 to ERCOT by October 14, 2019.
