SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update to the Generic Limits for McCamey Generic Transmission Constraint

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants 

DAYS AFFECTED:  October 14, 2019

LONG DESCRIPTION: Based on the results of the Quarterly Stability Assessment (QSA) for Q4 of 2019, performed pursuant to Planning Guide Section 5.9, Quarterly Stability Assessment, ERCOT has identified updates to the Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC) in the McCamey area. The updates result from the installation of new Generation Resources in the region.

The GTC was established in March 2018 to address instability issues in the McCamey area. The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants of this update to the McCamey GTC. ERCOT will begin enforcing the updated limits for this GTC on October 14, 2019. Details associated with all existing GTCs can be found on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area in the “Generic Transmission Limits” portlet.
