2017 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar

    Overview

    The 2017 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar is a presentation-based 14 hour training course focused on providing training for TOPs and Generation Operators/QSEs in the proper restoration of the ERCOT system in the event of a system wide Black Out.

    The course will include lectures that focus on System Resiliency.  Participants will utilize their notes and provided books documenting each presentation to complete assessment worksheets for continuing education.

    Prerequisites:   Registration is a 2-step process. Registration will only be honored if payment is made first.

    Class Times:

    Tue: 13:00 – 17:00

    Wed: 08:00 – 17:00 (Breakfast provided from 6:30-8:00 and lunch provided from 12:00-13:00)

    Thu: 08:00 – 12:30 (Breakfast provided from 6:30-8:00)


    *Partial Credit is available.

    Registration Opens:  December 5, 2016 via Cvent and ERCOT LMS.

    *Early registration cost: $375 by COB 01/06/2017. Regular registration cost after 01/06/2017: $475.

    *Cancellation of registration will not be refunded for any reason.

    Early Registration OpensDecember 5, 2016 via Cvent and ERCOT LMS, and ends on January 6, 2017. The cost is $375.

    Regular Registration Begins: January 7, 2017. The cost is $475.

    The Pilot session is scheduled for January 17-19, 2017, exclusively for trainers, managers and critical staff determined by the MP, but registered Authorized Representative (AR) and Back-up Authorized Representative (BAR) are not required.

    Continuing Education

    The 2017 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar (Activity ID: ERCOT_001_2017_ERCOT_OPERATOR_TRAINING_SEMINAR) is recognized by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation as an approved learning activity for which NERC CE hours can be awarded, and that the provider adheres to NERC Continuing Education Program criteria.

    NERC continuing education hours are available for this class. If you are a NERC certificate holder and successfully complete all topics with accompanying worksheets you will be awarded 14 CE hours in the category of Operating Topics and you will receive notification of CE Hour credit within 30 calendar days of your attended session.
