2018 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar


The 2018 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar is a presentation-based 18-hour training course focused on providing training for TOPs and Generation Operators/QSEs focused on working together to ensure reliability. Participants will utilize their notes and provided books documenting each topic to complete the scantron assessment on the last day of the seminar for a possible 16 continuing education hours.*


Register and pay through Cvent. Registration is honored if payment is made first, either by credit card or overnighting a check/money order to the ERCOT Treasury.

Early Registration Opens: December 11, 2017 via Cvent  and ends on January 13, 2018. The cost is $475.

Regular Registration Begins: January 14, 2018. The cost is $575.

The Pilot session is scheduled for January 23-25, 2018, exclusively for trainers, managers and critical staff determined by the MP, but registered Authorized Representative (AR) and Back-up Authorized Representative (BAR) are not required.

Continuing Education

The 2018 ERCOT Operator Training Seminar (Activity ID: ERCOT_001_2018_ERCOT_OPERATOR_TRAINING_SEMINAR) is recognized by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation as an approved learning activity for which NERC CE hours can be awarded, and that the provider adheres to NERC Continuing Education Program criteria.

NERC continuing education hours are available for this class. If you are a NERC certificate holder and successfully complete all topic assessments with a passing percentage you will be awarded 16 CE hours in the category of Operating Topics and you will receive notification of CE Hour credit within 30 calendar days of your attended session.
