NOTICE DATE: January 24, 2025
NOTICE TYPE: M-A012425-01 General
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of ERCOT Reliability Monitor (ERM) Report to Public Utility Commission
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities (REs) and Interconnecting Entities (IEs)
DAYS AFFECTED: All Dates after August 8, 2024.
LONG DESCRIPTION: The ERCOT Planning Guide (PG) is one of the "Other Binding Documents" applicable to Market Participants. Planning Guide Revisions Request (PGRR) 103 (approved by the Public Utility Commission on October 12, 2023) added a requirement for REs and IEs to ensure Resources meet the requirements for commercial operations and request to commission within 300 days of receiving ERCOT’s approval for Initial Synchronization. See, PG § 5.5(3). To allow all Resources to meet the 300- day deadline, the ERM waited 300 days after PGRR 103 went into effect to obtain a list of Resources that failed to meet the requirement. The ERM has filed a report with the Compliance & Enforcement Division of the Public Utility Commission regarding the delinquent Market Participants.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Public Utility Commission enforcement staff will determine whether to open enforcement actions.
CONTACT: If you have any questions, please contact the ERM at ERM@ercot.com.
