SHORT DESCRIPTION: Pricing Impact during routine Model Maintenance

DAYS AFFECTED: March 12, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION: On March 12, 2025 an issue during routine production model maintenance resulted in the Energy Management System (EMS) not being updated with the next planned model. This had an impact on shift factors for an activated constraint between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM and caused inaccurate prices in the Market Management System (MMS).  ERCOT subsequently concluded that accurate shift factors could not be identified for the applicable time frame and therefore accurate prices could not be determined. ERCOT will not be pursuing a price correction for this event.
