SHORT DESCRIPTION: Agenda for February 14, 2025 Workshop on Segment Membership under the ERCOT Bylaws
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants
DAYS AFFECTED: February 14, 2025
LONG DESCRIPTION: A series of discussions regarding Membership Segments as defined by the ERCOT Bylaws took place at the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) Meetings on September 19, 2024 (item 15) and November 20, 2024 (item 12). As part of those discussions, some Members expressed interest in considering changes to Segment definitions and structure through one or more workshops in 2025. A workshop will be held on February 14, 2025 at 9:30 A.M. at ERCOT Austin MET for any interested ERCOT Members and stakeholders.
Proposals for changes to the ERCOT Bylaws were requested by February 4, 2025. The Agenda for the Workshop will therefore be as follows:
- ERCOT presentation (update to slides presented at the November 20, 2024 TAC meeting and information on Membership fees and voting structure of other Independent System Operators);
-
Texas Industrial Energy Consumers (TIEC), ERCOT Steel Mills, and the Texas Block Chain Council joint proposal to address issues related to the Industrial Consumer Segment;
-

-
Vistra proposal that there be separate Member segments for Thermal and Inverter-Based Generators; and
-
