SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notification to Submit Transmission Operator Emergency Operations Plans

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Operators (TOs)

DAYS AFFECTED: February 15, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION: Under Nodal Operating Guide Section 3.7, Transmission Operations, and Section 8, Attachment L, Emergency Operations Plan, ERCOT TOs are required to submit their emergency operations plan used to mitigate operating emergencies to ERCOT on or before February 15th of each year. North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standard EOP-011, Emergency Operations, also requires that ERCOT review these emergency operations plans.

ACTION REQUIRED: TOs should submit emergency operations plans to ERCOT via email to transrep@ercot.com as soon as practicable but no later than the close of business on February 15, 2025. Emergency operations plans may also be sent via the SharePoint Online External Share site.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In addition to TOs, this notice is also issued to the compliance contacts for all Transmission Operators (TOPs) registered with NERC. This Notice does not apply to Emergency Operations Plans required by Public Utility Commission Substantive Rule 25.53.
