SHORT DESCRIPTION: April 8th, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: April 8, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: On Monday, April 8th, 2024, a total solar eclipse will pass across the ERCOT region from the south-west to north-east direction. The eclipse will impact the output of PhotoVoltaic Generation Resources (PVGRs) in ERCOT between approximately 12:10 PM and 3:10 PM CDT. Starting on Monday, April 1st, 2024, ERCOT PVGR forecasts for April 8th will include the impact of the eclipse. All Market Participants are requested to monitor the operating conditions for this day and make adjustments to Current Operating Plans as needed.
