SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Ancillary Service Reports issue associated with implementation of NPRR1149

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: June 26, 2024 - Present

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has identified an issue associated with the implementation of NPRR1149, Implementation of Systematic Ancillary Service Failed Quantity Charges, resulting in the QSE Ancillary Service Capacity Monitor report not accounting for Ancillary Service trades by Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) that are conducted after the end of the Adjustment Period.  As a result this report may be incorrectly reporting Ancillary Service Supply Responsibility failures.  ERCOT is currently investigating the scope of the issue and developing a solution to ensure Ancillary Service trades made after the end of the Adjustment Period are correctly accounted for in the report.  The purpose of this Notice is to make the market aware of these issues.  ERCOT will issue a subsequent Market Notice identifying a solution and the timeline for implementation.

While the issue is impacting a market-facing report, the calculations are working correctly, and Operating Period Ancillary Service trades are being considered for NPRR1149 and the associated settlements.  At this time, ERCOT is not aware of the issue affecting any market outcomes or Market Participant settlement.
