LONG DESCRIPTION: On July 24, 2023, ERCOT re-evaluated the maximum Shadow Price for SDIMBEV8: HAMILT_MAVERI1_1, an irresolvable constraint that as of July 23, 2023, had accumulated a net margin exceeding $95,000/MW, per the criteria defined in in Section 3.6.2 of the Other Binding Document (OBD), “Methodology for Setting Maximum Shadow Prices for Network and Power Balance Constraints.”
The maximum shadow price for the aforementioned contingency/constraint pair was re-determined in accordance with Section 3.6.2 of that same document to be $2,000 per MWh. Due to the existing irresolvable constraints SBEVASH8: HAMILT_MAVERI1_1 and SBE2ASH8: HAMILT_MAVERI1_1 sharing the same constraint element as SDIMBEV8: HAMILT_MAVERI1_1, a corresponding update to their maximum Shadow Prices is also being performed. The update to the maximum Shadow Prices will be implemented between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM Central Prevailing Time (CPT) on July 24, 2023, and be effective starting July 24, 2023. The updated maximum Shadow Prices will remain in effect for the remainder of calendar year 2023. The contingency/constraint pairs and updated maximum shadow prices (set in accordance with Section 3.6.2 of that same document) are as follows:

These maximum Shadow Prices will be used for all constraints in Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) which share the same monitored element (i.e. constraint name) and direction.
