SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notification of Change of Generation Resource Designation for Wharton County Generation LLC – TGF_TGFGT_1

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: February 4, 2022

LONG DESCRIPTION: On December 17, ERCOT received a Notification of Change of Generation Resource Designation (NCGRD) for the following Generation Resource:

• Wharton County Generation LLC – TGF_TGFGT_1

The NCGRD states that this Generation Resource, which is currently decommissioned and retired, will change its Generation Resource designation to operational as of February 4, 2022.

ERCOT and the interconnecting Transmission Service Provider will determine whether the need for any studies, testing, metering, or facility upgrades may delay this proposed date of return.  ERCOT will issue a Market Notice if it determines that the proposed date of return will be delayed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to ERCOT Protocols Section 3.14.1.9(2), ERCOT has posted the NCGRD in the “Notice of Change of Generation Resource Designation” (EMIL ID NP3-471-M, Report ID 13062) on the Generation page of the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area.  An ERCOT Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS.
