Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Jan 9, 2008
Sponsor: Trip Doggett on behalf of Texas Nodal Transition Plan Task Force (TPTF)
Urgent: No
Sections: 3.14.1.13, Incentive Factor.
Description: This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) removes language that would allow the Incentive Factor payment in Reliability Must Run (RMR) Agreements to be reduced if, in ERCOT’s determination, the reduction in capacity materially affects reliability.
Reason: A flaw in the Texas Nodal Transition Plan Task Force (TPTF) voting spreadsheet resulted in the 9/28/06 TPTF vote on a motion to strike language in Section 13.14.1.13(2)(b), as proposed by NPRR024, Synchronization of PRRs 627 and 640, to be incorrectly reported as failing. On 1/03/08, TAC instructed TPTF to file a NPRR to strike the subsection as proposed in the 9/28/06 motion.
