Description: This Protocol Revision Request (PRR) changes the name of the Emergency Electric Curtailment Plan (EECP) to Energy Emergency Alert (EEA).
Reason: Recent changes at the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC) have increased the reporting, communications and compliance efforts at ERCOT. ERCOT is proposing these revisions in order to align terminology and reduce confusion when reporting events to NERC and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Every step in the current EECP uses the term "Curtailment" but ERCOT does not actually shed firm Load until the last step of EECP. The proposed revisions will align ERCOT and NERC terminology and reduce confusion when communicating statuses or reporting on recent events.
