Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Jan 15, 2010
Sponsor: Mike Grable on behalf of ERCOT
Urgent: No
Sections: 2.1, Definitions
Description: This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) revises the definition of Transmission and/or Service Provider (TDSP) to include Entities that have been selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities and have a code of conduct approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT).
Reason: The current definition of TDSP is partially limited to new Entities that were selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities as part of the PUCT Order for Docket No. 35665, Commission Staff’s Petition for the Selection of Entities Responsible for Transmission Improvements Necessary to Deliver Renewable Energy from Competitive Renewable Energy Zones. This NPRR would allow for any Entity that was selected to own and operate Transmission Facilities and has a code of conduct approved by the PUCT to be a TDSP and not limit to only those Entities approved in Docket No. 35665.
