| Description: | This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) provides for notification when a confirmed Electronic Tag (e-Tag) is downloaded, cancelled, or curtailed by ERCOT’s systems. |
| Reason: | When a Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) has an import or export over one of the Direct Current Ties (DC Ties), the QSE enters an e-Tag using Open Access Technology International (OATI). Once the e-Tag is confirmed, ERCOT downloads the details from OATI, but currently, the QSE does not have visibility into the information that ERCOT downloaded and therefore cannot verify or confirm that the e-Tag is properly reflected in ERCOT’s systems. Implementing this new message could minimize future Settlement disputes regarding DC Ties if DC Tie-scheduling QSEs received confirmation messages from ERCOT containing high-level details about e-Tags. |
