Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Jun 27, 2014
Sponsor: ERCOT
Urgent: No
Sections: 4.2.4, 4.4.9.2.1, 5.3, and 6.3.4
Description: This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR):1. Removes a requirement to post software documentation and code related to validation rules, to the extent that this is not Protected Information. This posting requirement was applicable prior to Nodal go-live, when ERCOT was posting requirements documents for Market Participants to prepare their systems for Nodal go-live, but there is no relevant documentation currently being produced by our vendors which is not Protected Information. However, ERCOT does provide relevant documentation for business rule validation in the "Market Submission Validation Rules" document on the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area and for the technical validation rules, the Extensible Markup Language (XML) specifications are posted on the ERCOT website; and2. Aligns Section 4.4.9.2.1 with the limitations on modifying a Startup Offer or Minimum-Energy Offer for a Day-Ahead Market (DAM) Committed Interval which were implemented with NPRR321, Allow Change to Energy Offer Curve MW Amounts in the Adjustment Period (formerly "Allow Change to Energy Offer Curve MW Amounts in the Adjustment Period for Qualifying Facilities, in Section 4.4.9.3, Energy Offer Curve.
Reason: Administrative and removes an outdated posting requirement.
