Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: May 20, 2015

Urgent: No
Sections: 5.3.2, 5.4.3, 5.4.5, 5.4.10, 5.7.1, 5.7.2
Description: In the Resource Interconnection Handbook, the term “commercial operations” has a different meaning to Resource Entities and financial institutions involved in construction and financing of Generation Resources than it does in the context of performance testing by ERCOT for new Generation Resources. This Planning Guide Revision Request (PGRR) aligns the Planning Guides with NPRR705 by replacing various terms used to refer to the date on which Generation Resources complete the Resource interconnection process with the proposed defined terms “Commercial Operations Date” and “Resource Commissioning Date” to provide consistency for references to the end of the generation interconnection process.
