TX Set currently provides a PER04 and PER06 fields to include the customer's contact phone number. It would benefit all market participants and customers to specify one of the fields as a home number, one field as a business number, and if an additional PER segment could be added, a cell number would be beneficial.
Reason:
Operational/System Impact: TXUED utilizes a IVR system that recognizes the phone number of the end use customer to expedite and automate outage information. TXUED uses the PER04 as a home phone number, if the PER04 is populated with a Business number, the IVR will not match the account.
Market Impact: Undetermined: Potential script changes to CR’s, possible SET changes? If additional PER segment used, would require implementation during a new market release
