What is the intent and expected outcome by CRs for Purpose Code: RD001 -- Special Out of Cycle Read
Next Step:
Decision was made to close this issue. As AMS deployment continues this will become less of on issue since the information for an RD001 will be available through other means. CRs understand that these codes are currently handled the same by CenterPoint and AEP and are not experiencing system issues because of it so have no problem with closing.

TXU is still researching this issue and will provide feedback. No other CRs have indicated that they are using both codes. TNMP verified that they are sending back a 650_02 reject for RD001 with the ‘A13’ Reason Code stating "This service is no longer being offered by TNMP.’
AEP and Centerpoint process both codes the same; Oncor processes RD001 as a special read that does not trigger billing inquiry; TNMP is going to verify. CRs using RD001 will research how they process the response and whether we could move toward using only one of these codes.
CenterPoint treats both codes the same and will only send a new 867 if the new read does not look like it is in-line with the previous read. TDSPs and CRs were asked to look into how they handle each code.

Discussion: What is the intent and expected outcome by CRs for Purpose Code:
RD001 -- Special Out of Cycle Read
If CRs expected results and intent for RD001 (Special Out of Cycle Read) is the same as RD002 (Reread/Potential Error) then why is there a need to have both RD001 and RD002?
Reason:
To determine how CRs process the TDSPs results once received for RD001 (Special Out of Cycle Reads) and if the results is what was expected where RD001 (Special Out of Cycle Read) request may have generated a correction in the reading with cancels and re-bills.
